About us

One Life, One Earth, One Humanity

The Belfast Humanist Group is an organisation for people who do not believe in gods or goddesses, angels and demons, heavens and hells.  Humanism is an approach to life based on reason and our common humanity.

Click on What Is Humanism? for information on Humanism and on About Us for details of the Group.

The BHG provides a contact base for people of a non-religious outlook. There are regular meetings with talks, discussions and social events throughout the year. Click on  Meetings  for more details. See our Facebook page for updates and sign up as a supporter - here.

The BHG engages in a wide range of activities, some serious, some purely social. Click Activities for examples.

We campaign through the media against all forms of religious privilege and in support of policies which promote a liberal, open society. See Correspondence for examples.

Ceremonies: the BHG can help with non-religious weddings, namings and funerals. It provides this service on a limited basis to non-members. Click on  Ceremonies  for more details.
